Jade Ribbon Arizona is a community initiative to stop the spread of Hepatitis B Virus through a campaign of testing and vaccinations. Hepatitis B affects one in ten Asians and Pacific Islanders. If left untreated, one in four of those infected with Hepatitis B will die prematurely from liver disease or liver cancer.

The purpose of this blog is to document and reflect upon the development of this campaign and to engage in a useful conversation about hepatitis B, community action, and Asian Pacific Islanders in Arizona. That said please remember that the views, opinions, and words expressed on this blog are mine and mine alone.
